Continuous Vision Monitoring to Combat Digital Eye Strain to Help Gamers, Cataract Patients, Ophthalmologists, and Opticians: Dr. Pavel Zakharov, Vivior
If you're having sore eyes, tense neck and your back hurts, digital eye strain might be blamed. Or you may blame yourself for abusing your eyes.
I attached the vision monitoring devices to my spectacles and for three days measured how I use my eyes. The results, about which we are speaking on the show, are a bit further from what I expected.
Vivior device might help bring the answers to our sore eyes but it's not what it was made for. The startup made a few pivots starting from supporting ophtalmologists performing cataract surgeries to the recent partnership with a gaming company. While also addressing the worldwide epidemic of nearsightedness.
Dr. Pavel Zakharov is an optical scientist skilled in software engineering. He has been involved in various groundbreaking startup projects. He worked on physiology monitoring wearables, dynamic laser speckle for functional brain imaging, non-invasive glucose monitoring.
It's captivating to hear him speaking about the future of wearables, innovation, and digital eye strain.
